Project Name: Water Supply Program – Quarry/Chattahoochee

The project consists of a 10-foot diameter deep tunnel conveyance system that will connect the Chattahoochee River to CWTP, HWTP and a new 2.4 billion-gallon storage facility at the Quarry.

The scope of this project includes:

• New pump stations at HWTP and the quarry
• Ten (10) Pump Station and Flow Control Shafts
• Adits (Connecting tunnels)

Justification:

• Addresses Consent Decree requirements
• Enhances flow capacity of small diameter sewers
• Reduces inflow and infiltration or extraneous flows into the sewer system
• Increases protection of our receiving waters and reduces threat to public health and safety
