The DWM’s wastewater system provides service to the City of Atlanta and portions of Clayton, DeKalb, and Fulton counties covering a service area of approximately 257 square miles. Wastewater infrastructure includes four water reclamation centers (WRCs), six combined sewer overflow (CSO) facilities, two CSO water quality control facilities, 1,570 miles of combined and separate sanitary sewers, 16 collection system pump stations, five tunnels, and four tunnel pump stations.
The objective of this project is to update the City of Atlanta Wastewater Master Plan for incorporation into an integrated Watershed Plan that will provide the City with a roadmap for upcoming Capital Improvement Projects.
