Annual Contract for Stormwater Upgrade and Repair Services FC-10244-B (MOST FUNDED)
The Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has implemented a stormwater rehabilitation, improvement and upgrade program to reduce the effects of stormwater ponding on City right‐of‐ways and other City owned properties.
During heavy rainfall events, some locations on City right‐of‐ways experience stormwater flow rates and ponding that are in excess of the capacity of the existing stormwater structures. In some of these cases, the insufficient capacity is due to effects of inlet clogging by trash and debris. Previous damage to and/or misalignment of the existing inlet structures may also affect the stormwater system’s ability to perform.
The scope of the Project includes:
Repairs to existing storm structures
Pipe repairs and/or replacement
Installation of new storm structures
Upgrades to increase stormwater performance
Justification:
Provides drainage for the right-of-way, which improves public health and safety
Reduces flooding potential
