The intent of this annual contract is to serve as an undefined scope contracting mechanism to complete necessary linear sanitary sewer repairs on an as-needed basis to supplement and support DWM Linear Operations.
The project will facilitate the long-term sustainability and structural integrity of a critical linear asset, ensuring continued operation as intended and mitigating environmental risks. The project will allow for adequate conveyance capacity for existing and new Customers, and lead to improved treatment capacity at the area Water Reclamation Center.
The scope of this project includes:
Repairing linear sewer assets utilizing methods such as:
Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP)
Pipe-bursting
Internal and external point repairs
Open-cut replacement
Jack and bore installations
Justification:
Reduces Infiltration/Inflow or extraneous flows into the sewer system
Contributes to reductions in Sanitary Sewer Overflows
Increases protection of receiving waters and reduces threat to public health and safety
Enhances responsiveness to complete emergency repairs
