About the 2015-2019 Capital Improvement Program

The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) organizes system needs for sustaining, restoring and modernizing the facilities and infrastructure that support Atlanta’s water system and wastewater infrastructure. The 78 projects identified in the CIP were prioritized based on the most critical infrastructure needs, and the program provides a framework for the comprehensive delivery of schedules for design and implementation. The more than $1 billion CIP plans and budgets to maintain continued operational efficiency and reliability while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
